When Cucumber Lost his Cool by Michelle Robinson & Tom Knight

Are you in the cool gang? No? Well, Kevin the cucumber has a lot to teach you. But the other vegetables have a lot to teach him too about being yourself.

When Cucumber Lost his Cool by Michelle Robinson and Tom Knight, is remarkably convincing portrayal of the ebbs and flows of little kids’ friendships from a pepper, bean and a pot of mustard!

Vegetables are definitely cool at the moment – but it’s the first time I’ve seen a book dedication to “all the independent fruit and veg growers and sellers of the world” – and it’s marvellously packed full of friendly celery, savoy cabbages and leaky leaks.

The rhyming is spot on and kids will enjoy joining in the “I am a cucumber, cool as can be!” refrain and laugh out loud when *spoiler alert* Kevin the Cucumber loses his cool.

Marvellously zesty and very definitely cool.
