I have the right to be loved.

I have the right to healthcare.

I have the right to safety and shelter… and so much more.

There’s a lot of things we take for granted in this world. A roof over our head, a warm bed to sleep in at night, a cuddle from those around us if we’re feeling sad. This is not the case for a lot of children. In 1989, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child were adopted and ratified by 175 countries. Do you live in a country that respects these rights? What rights do you have?
This incredible non-fiction picture book, written and illustrated by Iranian creative Reza Dalvand, is a perfect way to remind yourself and the grown up helpers in your life of the responsibility we all have to ensure every child lives a safe and nurtured life. Children’s rights are challenged every day, it’s up to us to help protect them.
