The Wish Switch by Lynn Painter

Daring to follow her Nana-Marie’s stories of magical wishes, Emma is convinced her life WILL change for the better.

After all, it is changing for the better for her two best friends,  Kennedy, with her amazing success at YouTube gaming videos and Allie going all in for cheerleading.

Only being at home with Mum eating meatballs and watching old episodes of Friends  can comfort Emma as things go from bad to worse.

Why is it when new kid, Jackson is about awful things happen to Emma?

Is it possible her wishes have been transferred to him?

If so, can they be transferred back?

The Wish List tackles the tricky transition time of being twelve head on as Emma starts Seventh Grade and everything changes.

Examining the bonds of friendship and learning to adapt as they transform through time, Lynn Painter lends a wonderful humourous touch to this story.

An easy and enjoyable read that skips along. Took me back to my days of reading Judy Blume but with magic in the air!
