Abdullah’s Bear Needs A Name by Yasmin Hanif, Illustrated by Sophie Benmouyal

What’s in a name?

When Abdullah receives a well-loved bear for Eid, it doesn’t have a name. Abdullah spends a lot of time thinking of a name for his lovely bear but every suggestion just doesn’t seem quite right.

He asks his friends for help but still no luck. As night falls, an idea comes to him after hearing a bed time story about his family heritage and the wonderful tales passed down over the generations before him.

At last! When morning comes, Abdullah finally has a name for his bear…

Yasmin Hanif has created a heart-warming story of family connection and tradition.

Her beautiful prose wraps the reader up in a hug as they join Abdullah on his journey to find a name for his bear.

Family history, legacy and remembering who you really are, come alive on the pages which are beautifully illustrated by Sophie Benmouyal.
