Katie and Jack are tucked in bed, at their grandparents’ house, on Christmas Eve. A very loud sneeze wakes them up. They hear another, and another … and discover the source of the sneezes is none other than the red suited man himself.
Father Christmas is clearly not feeling his best, and clearly needs a couple of little helpers. Katie and Jack grab their coats and boots, ready for an magical evening.
They whizz through the London skyline marvelling at the the wonderful snowy vista below them. They dodge the corgis at a rather famous London home, before returning home to their warm beds, just in time for Christmas morning where an extra special surprise awaits them.
Mayhew’s glorious illustrations are sure to encourage that tingly Christmas excitement. With that gorgeous magical blue, Mayhew manages to make the pages sparkle without even a speck of glitter on the page.
