Get Out of My Bath! from Britta Teckentrup is a fun picture book which is really going to appeal to the youngest listeners.
Combining bath time antics, interactivity and those lovely shiny pages it’s just perfect to delve into just before bed (& bath) time.
Ellie is really enjoying her bath, complete with a glorious yellow rubber duck. With a wonderful narrative that speaks directly to the reader, little ones are encouraged to tilt the book to make Ellie’s bath water slosh from side to side.
Now, the real dilemma comes when a few other animals decide to join in the fun … a tiger, flamingo and even a crocodile. Readers are encouraged to shake them out the bath, to tell them to get out the bath … Ellie eventually finds a way to get some peace during her bath time.
Britta Teckentrup’s illustrations are brilliantly rendered. Vibrant and lively, those animals look just fabulous on the page. A wonderful smooth and shiny layer is added to the bath water for extra shiny, bath time goodness. Fabulous!
