Death by Chocolate by Anna Brooke

Uprooted from her beloved hometown of Burton-on-the-Bush, she must leave behind her best friends Kate and Rose when her parents decide to move to France.

Little does she know, in the process of renovating the old Hotel Framboise, Coco will discover that more than just years of dust has been disturbed.

There is a ghost!

Monsieur Framboise, the famous chocolatier who owned the hotel before Coco’s parents bought it, is not happy and cannot rest until he discovers who killed him.

An avid baker herself, Coco soon finds herself sympathising with the ghost rather than being scared of him.

If they don’t – what will happen to the Hotel Framboise?

What an adventure, moving to France, having to learn a new language, make new friends and on top of all that, living with a ghost!

Everything is thrown at Coco Bean at once, but she is strong and resourceful. Her love of baking comes across just as well as her resilience.
The ancient Hotel Framboise with its crumbling walls and secret rooms is a perfect setting for this wonderful, light-hearted ghost story.
