Hell’s Belles: The D’Evil Diaries

Hell's Belles: The D'Evil Diaries

Hell’s Bells is a rollicking good middle grade adventure novel. Tatum Flynn’s follow up to the fabulous The D’Evil Diaries, is full of wit, humour and warmth.

Tommy and Jinx make quite a team. Jinx is the son of the devil, but he does have a good heart. Tommy is slowly getting used to life in Hell … after feeding her uncle to a lion. They do treat her quite well but there are still some things that take a bit of getting used too, plus, she does crave acceptance.

Lucifer’s ex-wife, Lilith, unexpectedly turns up announcing a competition to find her new assistant. The competition will involve a series of terrifying trials, they may be deadly but Tommy is convinced that this is her chance to fit in …

As Tommy fights her way through various trials she stumbles upon a deep secret from her past.

Hell’s Bells is a great adventure novel with plenty of twists and turns. Dave Shephard’s illustrations, peppered throughout, add a great dimension to the story – especially those depicting some of the more unusual characters from the novel!

Flynn’s narrative voice is brilliantly funny with plenty of humour twirled around Tommy and Jinx’s antics in this fast paced novel.

A great page turner!
