Wolfish Stew

Wolfish StewWolfish Stew is a cheekily funny picture book from Suzi Moore and Erica Salcedo. Told in brilliant rhyme it tells the tale of Grey (a rabbit) who must venture into the forest for berries. But. He must look out for Blue wolf.

As Grey wanders merrily through the forest, the narrator and the birds help Grey to keep his focus – is that a log or a ‘wolfish snout’? Those knobbly knees look a little familiar too!

Turns out that little Grey has a rather clever ‘rabbitty trick’ up his sleeve. Why is he collecting all those delicious veggies, berries … what could he possibly be planning to do with them all?! (Hint: the clue is in the title!)

The jaunty rhyme of Wolfish Stew will encourage little ones to keep guessing … and the eager eyed ones will spot the fabulous trail of clues Erica Salcedo has put in place for them. Salcedo’s illustrations are wonderfully vibrant, and full of quirky details to spot during repeated readings.
