The Overall Winner and Category Winners were announced at the FCBG Award Ceremony on Saturday 10th June.

Former Children’s Laureate Michael Morpurgo OBE and Michael Foreman are named overall winners of The Children’s Book Award 2017. Their book, An Eagle In The Snow also won the Books for Younger Readers category, before going on to win the overall prize. Huge congratulations! The win is a record-breaking fourth for Michael Morpurgo OBE.

The Children’s Book Award is the only national award voted for solely by children from start to finish. It is highly regarded by parents, teachers, librarians, publishers and children’s authors and illustrators as it truly represents the children’s choice.

All children across the UK were eligible to vote, with online voting being available for the first time this year.
