A is for Avocado by Carolyn Suzuki

AisForAvocado

A is for Avocado, written and illustrated by Carolyn Suzuki, is an alphabet book of plant power. This super cute-sized book showcases twenty-six fresh fruits, vibrant vegetables and powerful plants to encourage and inspire healthy eating among its readers. It will inspire young readers and introduce new vegans to lots of new plant-based foods.

Each page is bursting with bright, bold and vibrant colours and stylish, modern illustrations with a small fascinating fact to go alongside the letter of the alphabet and illustrations on each page. The illustrations are also packed with tons of emotion and cute humour.

All the facts for each letter of the alphabet are extremely interesting to read. I even learnt new facts myself and got introduced to some new fruits!

Did you know that more than sixty species of mushroom can glow in the dark?

I for Iceberg Lettuce – ‘This lettuce used to be transported on ice to keep it fresh, which is how it got its name’.

A perfect book to celebrate Veganuary! Learning the ABCs the vegan way!
