Adele grew up by the sea in sunny Southend and spent many a summer playing on the beach and immersed in imaginative play with her sister and cousins in their beach hut.
She studied politics at Loughborough where she met her husband and they chose to settle in the beautiful little county of Rutland. They now have 3 children – two boys and a girl who keep them very busy playing Mum and Dad taxi!

Adele has been a Primary school teacher for 20 years and shares her love of reading and books with the children at school. She passionately believes that books are the perfect hook into learning as well as the perfect way for children to escape and relax.

Adele loves the smell of bookshops and cannot resist the lure of a new book!
