Damian the bum fish knows his face looks like a bum, everyone tells him so. He tries to laugh about it but sometimes it makes him sad.
Tired of hearing about it all the time he decides to go on an ocean adventure to meet other fish and see what’s hidden in the depths of his oceanic world.
It’s not long before he embraces who he is with confidence, thanks to Steven the Cheddar fish and all his new friends. Damian finally learns that it’s not what you look like that counts, it’s about being yourself and loving who you really are.
Bum Fish is a fantastic picture book all about resilience, acceptance of others and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Written by Pauline Pinson, illustrated by Magali Le Huche, it’s translated from French to English by Tim and Sofia Smith-Laing.
