Dog Loves Books

Dog Loves Books by Louise Yates.

Dog is an independent little character, his love of books is all consuming so he decides to go ahead and set up his own little book shop in the award winning Dog Loves Books by Louise Yates.

This little dog is a canine after my own heart – he just can’t get enough of books. He loves the smell of them, the feel of them and what better way to indulge his interest than open his own little book shop.

I love the way Yates describes all the little preparations dog makes ready for the grand opening of his store, together with her quirky illustrations, they really bring this little character to life.

When the anticipated rush at the Grand Opening doesn’t go quite according to plan, Dog turns to the bookshelves … with wonderful results.

Yates illustrations, watercolour and pencil, have a soft dreamlike quality to them. This is the perfect picture book for book lovers, and is sure to inspire some creative play once the pages have been devoured.

Also in the series,  Dog Loves Drawing.
