Duck is a home bird.
He is happiest at home until the day Great-Granduck decides it is time for Duck to fly the nest.
If he can follow Great-Granduck’s three rules, surely all will be fine.
- Pay attention
- Don’t panic
- Stay positive
This, however is easier said than done for a duck on his very first job as a delivery duck!
Full of chaos, mayhem and humour, Delivery Duck is great fun to read aloud.
The word choices and length of the story seem to me to lend themselves to the older end of the 3 to 5 year old range. I would say though that this is a book which has appeal for all ages.
There is a lot to discover on each page and Tom Tinn-Dinsbury’s illustrations are so clever the reader really feels for poor old duck making this a great page turner.
A great message of positivity and never giving up is wrapped up in one of the most cheerful books I’ve read this year!
