Fear Files: Hide and Seek by Christopher Edge

Has Sol invited Adam on his family camping trip because he’s scared of the dark?

Adam soon learns there is more to fear than just the dark.

Forced to join in a game of hide and seek with a group of petrified children, he has no choice but to try and hide.

Who is the mysterious ‘Itter’ trying to find them? Can Adam keep one step ahead of it?

What on earth is happening to him? First of all it appears he is in an English village and then it changes to a Middle Eastern market before he stumbles into a sculpture garden and on into a school. Is this an abandoned ghost town?

Where are all the children playing the game coming from?

Where is safe to hide?

I love the way non-fiction, with notes from an Encyclopedia, is interspersed amongst this truly terrifying story.

This is the first book in a new series, no doubt we will read more from the mysterious Darkive files in the coming books.

This seriously spooky story will have you holding your breath the whole way through!

I guarantee you’ll never think of playground games like Forty Forty and Hide and Seek again without a slight shiver!
