Honey’s Hive – Bee A Friend by Mo O’Hara

Honey is the best Scout Bee in her hive. She is always finding new flowers for the bees to collect pollen which helps the whole hive thrive. As she flies around she meets bees from other hives but they’re having trouble finding any pollen because Honey’s hive gets there first. This makes Honey feel sad, and she is determined to help her new friends.

Unknown to Honey, there’s a swarm of wasps following her every move and it’s not long before her hive is in danger! A call out to her new friends means that all the bees in the area come to help fend off the invasion.

Can the bees protect the hive from the wasps? How will Honey ensure that all bees have access to pollen, not just those from her hive?

Mo O’Hara has created a fantastic series in Honey’s Hive. This chapter book ‘Bee A Friend’ is the second instalment of honey’s adventures and it’s a fantastic story about friendship, honesty and doing the right thing. Sprinkled with facts about bees, this exciting story, with beautiful illustrations by Aya Kakeda, will enthral readers of all ages as they urge Honey and her new friends on. I can’t wait to see what adventures Honey gets up to next!
