I Am Raven by Alastair Chisholm

Fear is weakness, Raven is strong.

From a young age, Brann kept Claw’s words with her at all times. Especially when she faces her deepest fears and learns her limits for the role she has in  the Construct crew of Cub. Each Construct taking on the image from its crew’s thoughts as it travels on land and in the air. Brann was part of Raven, now she’s stowed on Cub, ready for anything that comes her way.

When the Raven battles with Wolf, they’re attacked by Dragon and the crew go missing, starting a rescue mission like no other.

Making their way across the plains, they’re followed by ants and other mechanicals. Brann’s trust in those she’s with takes a plummet as secrets within their crew slowly unravel. Caught, they’re taken to the High Constructs as Reika has information they need. However, Reika is not the name they call her which creates intrigue amongst the crew.

Faced with truths she can’t quite come to terms with, Brann must hide her fear and rise to the challenge.

Where is the Raven crew and who, or what, is going to help her find them?

Where Brann, Coll, Reika and the crew are concerned, nothing is as it seems.

Fear is not permitted, courage and certainty will prevail!

The brilliant, fast-action sequel to I Am Wolf has thundered out into the world. I Am Raven is a fantastic whirlwind of a ride across the High Lands and beyond.

Another brilliant delve into Brann’s world by author Alastair Chisholm with stunning cover from Karítas Gunnarsdóttir and maps by Jensine Eckwall.

Huge thanks to Sían at Nosy Crow for the review copy.
