Karen Minto – Best Book of 2017

,

Karen Minto, reviewer for My Book Corner, selects her Best Book of 2017…

The Polar Bear Explorers ClubIt’s such a difficult decision, favourite book of 2017. I mean, I read a lot and I like a lot. I love a few too. The stand out books for me have been Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans, Beetle Queen by M.G.Leonard, The Explorer by Katherine Rundell and obviously The Book of Dust by my fave, Philip Pullman.

I particularly loved the Polar Bear Explorer’s Club written by Alex Bell and illustrated by Tomislav Tomic, though, because of the funny fantasy world that Stella lives in, and I have watched my Year 3 daughter devour it, so I must have excellent taste. She reckons it’s the best book she’s read for ages, and she maybe reads even more than I do.

And we’re agreed, a mini T-Rex, a unicorn and maybe a polar bear would make excellent pets.

Discover the Best Books of 2017 from the MyBookCorner team, and a whole host of fabulous VIPs, right here as they are revealed, during Friday 29th December 2017.
