So happy that the gorgeous Love Monster is back. Combine that with the fact he is in a picture book alongside chocolate … I couldn’t be happier!!
Rachel Bright’s latest picture book, Love Monster & the Last Chocolate does not disappoint. It kinda made my heart sing.

How lovely to find, nestled on his doorstep … a wonderful box of chocolates. It seems monsters (as well as book reviewers!) simply adore chocolate. But oh my, this does put monster into a bit of a pickle. His friends love chocolates … should he share? What if he is left with the COFFEE one? “yuck”
I adore how Rachel leads us through monster’s quandaries, this is sooo much fun to read out loud, especially with words such as ‘queasy-squeezy’ & ‘chocahedgehog’ tucked in.
Love Monster & the Last Chocolate has a wonderful energy, with Love Monster reminding me of many little toddlers I know. Many readers are going to identify with him for sure!
Vibrant images, a touching ending and an irresistible character – Love Monster & the Last Chocolate is just adorable.
