There are SO many great books to choose from but for me it has to be Grandad’s Secret Giant by David Litchfield.
This is a wonderful story of belonging and friendship which teaches us the really important lessons of tolerance and acceptance.
I write almost exclusively in rhyme so, when it comes to my favourite stories, I usually lean towards rhyming texts but this is a prose book that I can read again and again. Plus….just look at it!! David Litchfield’s use of colour and light is always so incredibly beautiful. I’m totally drawn into the worlds he creates. In fact, I feel I could probably frame every single spread and hang them on my walls.
It’s a truly magical book!
