Luna Loves Library Day

Luna Loves Library DayLuna Loves Library Day, written by Joseph Coelho and illustrated by Fiona Lumbers, is a true celebration of libraries and books!

It was such a delight to read it with my daughter.

Joseph Coelho has written a beautiful and tender story. Luna loves library day – it’s the day she spends with her Dad and they share their love for books. They explore the shelves together and share stories. There is a real treat in the middle with an additional six page rhyming story, which Luna and her Dad share together. There is a heart tugging moment where we are told that Luna’s Dad knows how to disappear… Many children will relate to this story, where there are relatives who they live apart from.

The illustrations by Fiona Lumbers portray the warmth within the story. I love how she portrays the different books that Luna chooses, bringing each one of them to life.

There is a real classic and timeless feel to Coelho and Lumbers’ picture book.
