Astrid the Unstoppable

The book that I loved the most is Astrid the Unstoppable by Maria Parr, published by Walker books. Cover Design by Katie Harnett.

The young Astrid’s is fierce and fabulous and is best friends with a grumpy old man because there are no other children living in her mountain village. This is a beautiful story about the complexity of human relationships.

It’s Pippi Longstocking meets Heidi for the modern day and I know it’s amazing because when I finished it I sighed and just sat, thinking.
