Pinkie & Boo by Chae Strathie & Francis Martin

PinkieBoo

Pinkie’s not sure she wants to be a big sister. Babies are noisy and smell like cabbage!

When her baby brother arrives she’s given a new toy monkey called Boo. Pinkie loves Boo and together they get up to all sorts of mischief. With a milkshake for mum involving tomato ketchup and tea bags, and some slightly crumpled flowers for dad, her eagerness to get her parents attention turns into chaos.

Chae Strathie’s superb picture book is filled with magic and mayhem at every page turn. Francis Martin’s illustrations only add to the fun as Pinkie navigates her way through a new arrival at home.

With a lovely message of togetherness amid the wonderful bedlam having young children can bring (and with added cheeky monkeys too), this is a must read for all.
