Rory and the Balloon Bicycles by Louisa MacDougall

One of Rory’s favourite things to do is fix things, mending bikes is his speciality.

When he and Flora fly high into the sky one day, they see a mountain of rusting bikes rising into the clouds that wasn’t there before. The lovely bike he’s just fixed is sitting right on the top too!

There’s a new entrepreneur in town who is convincing everyone to get rid of their old push bikes and join in her new venture of blow-up bikes. As they’re made of balloons, the blow-up bikes only last for a short time. Once they deflate, their frames and plastic pollute the area turning their lovely loch brown.

Flora and Rory must stop Evil Lyn from ruining their beautiful world AND convince everyone to get back on their push bikes. It’s a race against time for them as they try to save their village from Evil Lyn’s polluting inventions, can Rory and Flora save Strath Amber in time?

Another brilliant Rory and Flora adventure from Louisa MacDougall with eye-catching illustrations by Giulia Cregut.

A fantastic well-paced story for readers of all ages.
