Eddie, never call her by her full name, Edifina, will eat anything when she is nervous; a wheelie bin, the table, the plate that held her sandwiches.
Life at school is hard when you are different and eventually her unusual behaviour results in the one thing her aunts, Hettie and Roo had hoped would never happen. Eddie is called to The School of Doom!
As students from the Outer realms gather at the school, Headmistress Drazora tells them the school motto is ‘Be the Worst.’ But how can they, when the very reason all the students have been sent there is because they have failed spectacularly at being the worst in their families!
Eddie quickly realises the school inspector, Helen Smith is Drazora’s arch nemesis. Helen is out to spoil all the fun in the school and her aim is to shut it down.
Her new friends, Doydon the demon with his dog, Crawkus, Granville the witch and Jackie Jekyll stick by Eddie’s side. Is this school somewhere she can feel safe and appreciated at last?
But something evil is afoot. Who is targeting Eddie and putting her and her new friends into terrible danger?
Can Eddie learn to trust herself and control her magical powers to save the students of the School of Doom?
Eddie has superhuman strength, but this power is matched with superhuman kindness. Using her powers to the good, she shows herself as a true friend.

The library in this has got to be high in the top ten of my favourite libraries ever! A whole magical world of its own with flying leaves and its very own librarian library.
