Somebody’s House

Somebody's House

Somebody’s House is the latest children’s picture book from the oh so talented Katrina Germein. This Australian author has a delightful way with words – you have read My Dad Think’s He’s Funny haven’t you?!

Ever ambled down a street, observing the different houses, with your imagination working out who lives there? Then this book is right up your street! (*cough* sorry!)

‘At the bottom of town lies a long looping street.’

With wonderfully ambling rhyme and rhythm Germein takes her readers past some wonderfully coloured houses, whilst musing about who could possible live inside.

I think those inhabitants of the blue house with their ‘dancing feet’ whilst ‘stomping the beat’ are clearly having the most fun!

Now Anthea Stead’s illustrations are pretty special. You were drawn to that cover weren’t you! Vibrant and playful, each page is brimming with details that ping off the page.

You’ll be smiling whilst you read and absorb this one. Gorgeous.

Somebody’s House is perfect for snuggling up to at bedtime.
