With the fabulous cut out feature on the front cover Superhero Dad is a bit of a winner from the start. Quite literally.
Our little narrator is quite sure that his dad is secretly a superhero. Aren’t all dads? However this particular dad has lots of brilliant ‘super’ qualities. ‘Super Snoring’, ‘Super Breakfasts’ and ‘Super Funny’ are just some of this dad’s hero qualities.
Timothy Knapman’s narrative delights in celebrating the everyday interactions with dad, even when they don’t turn out perfectly. His lines interact brilliantly with Joe Berger’s stunning illustrations. Berger’s bold colours certainly convey that super hero tone.
