The Cat Book from Silvia Borando is fun picture book designed to stimulate the imagination… and have some fun.
With each turn of the page little ones are encouraged to interact with this book and take care of the cat. It all begins with a sleepy cat curled up in a ball – if you call out his name… he might wake up. With each page turn, black type describes what is happening, whilst the green encourages little listeners to interact with the cat on the opposite page. They can pat him, smooth down his fur, catch bouncing fleas and stop him from getting wet in the rain. It’s all great fun, and a great way to facilitate getting really immersed in a book.
The Cat Book will make a great alternative to a pet, if you’ve reached that stage – kids insisting on having a pet – this may buy you some time.
