The Lass and The Quine by Ashley Douglas

The lass has never left the castle where she lives, learning everything she knows from the books on the shelves.

She’s scared of bears and the outside world.
The quine is the complete opposite. She climbs mountains, paddles in streams, spends time with the animals that live in the forests and beyond.
One day they meet. The lass steps outside for the first time as the quine shows her around the forest, opening her eyes to the world outside the castle walls.
Beautifully written by Ashley Douglas with lovely illustrations by Kate Osmond, this picture book is a fairytale with a happy ending.

The first of its kind, The Lass and The Quine is based on a Scots poem, it’s been adapted into a LGBTQ+ inclusive children’s book, spreading and celebrating love and joy on every page.
