The Not-So Great Escape by Emma Green

Hedley has learnt to play it safe – avoiding risks at all costs since the terrible night that changed his life for ever.

So how does he end up helping the awful Aiden run away with Farmer Bert’s alpaca?

Holding up a garage, helping a jewel thief and all the while following Aiden’s plastic Christmas cracker compass, the mayhem just keeps on coming and it doesn’t look like it will end well! Hedley can’t believe he’s caught up in this escape and what’s worse, his little sister Lily is embroiled in it all too.

As the runaways become internet sensations, it seems like the police are not the only ones chasing Hedley, Aiden, Lily and Duke.

The Not-So Great Escape tells the story of  Hedley’s life after heartbreak, showing us the helpful healing hand of friendship can sometimes be found where it is least expected.

Author Emma Green is the owner of three alpacas and knows all about their fierce loyalty, loveable stubbornness and how to dodge their spit attacks with style!

Duke the alpaca is a star character – look out for many laugh out loud moments in this chaotic adventure.

Watch out for the double twist at the end.
