Ruby faces spending a summer in the deserted railway station town of Melbridge at her hippy Gram’s trinket-filled house. Her parents have decided to divorce. Everything she has once known has gone; her family as a unit, her routines, it all feels as if it is out of her control.

Setting out to walk through the night to see her dad who is still in the family home, she accepts a lift on the old steam train ‘The Green Lady’ but all is not as it first seems to be.
