The dragon is back! There’s A Dragon In My Backpack is book 2 in the brilliantly amusing series from Tom Nicoll and Sarah Horne. It all started when a mini dragon turned up in Eric’s takeaway (There’s a Dragon In My Dinner).
Pan is definitely, (thankfully), here to stay, but unfortunately Eric’s spoilt neighbour Toby is still determined to pinch Pan for himself … well he would make an awesome show and tell topic at Eric’s veryposh school.
When Toby ‘accidentally on purpose’ swaps backpacks with Eric a mad cap race is on to stop Toby. What if Toby and his school discover the real secret … that Pan is very much a real dragon?!
Nicoll’s fast moving narrative keeps readers hooked. His amusing one liners make this a great one to read out loud, as it certainly keeps little ears hooked.
Horne’s black and white pencil styled illustrations add humour and detail to the story – I especially loved her portrayal of Miss Biggs!
There’s A Dragon in My Toilet, book 3, hits the shelves in August 2016.
