Welcome to our New Reviewer for My Book Corner – June Graham

Today we are delighted to welcome June Graham, the newest reviewer to our team at My Book Corner. June will be focussing on reviewing Gaelic books.

June was born and brought up in Glasgow and her family links to the Isle of Skye inspired her to learn Gaelic. While bringing up her family on Isle of Lewis, she began to write for  children in Gaelic.

In 2019, she was awarded a New Writing Award by the Gaelic Books Council and Scottish Books Trust to develop a middle-grade novel in Gaelic. The  manuscript won a Gaelic Literary Award in 2022 and in May 2024, her first children’s book, ‘An Cat Coigreach’ (‘The Foreign Feline’), was published by Bradan Press in Nova Scotia.

She is currently finishing a second novel in Gaelic for the upper middle grade lower YA age group.

June blogs about writing and also about Gaelic books at http://junegraham.wordpress.com
