Twelve year-old Tally Smuck is a descendant of generations of Sting Winkler’s so when she gets stung by a jelly (that’s never meant to happen to her kind), she begins to doubt not only her abilities to communicate with the beautiful sea creatures but also the success of the festival.
When the jellies do start to appear they are dull and limited in numbers instead of surfacing in their thousands and lighting up the bay with their tentacled joy. Something is amiss and it’s up to Tally and her friends, Farran, Colette and fabulous sidekick Albert the rat to investigate before it’s too late and Stormcliff is thrown into darkness for good.
The Vorpal Twins and their despicable family add a mixture of intrigue and upset as Tally tries to ensure the festival goes ahead and her family’s legacy remains intact. It may seem a lot for one soon-to-be-Sting Winkler to take but with her supportive friends and family, Tally Smuck is determined to succeed!
