It’s here! The sequel to William and the Missing Masterpiece, featuring the one and only cat detective extraordinaire … William.
William Heads to Hollywood from Helen Hancocks is delightful picture book featuring an intriguing mystery.
Hancock’s narrative introduces us to a pair of sleuthing cats and a mystery to solve, which thankfully had arrived just in time. Poor William, International Cat of Mystery, had been getting a little restless with the lack of juicy cases coming his way.
William comes to the rescue of the glamorous Hollywood star Audrey Mieowski when she reports the theft of the Golden Cuckoo Awards ahead of the very important award ceremony. William wastes no time in catching a plane to Hollywood to track down a series of important clues.
Helen Hancock’s narrative takes William on a delightful variety of twists and turns which leave little readers guessing … who could the thief be?
Hancock’s illustrations are wonderful to pour over. They are brimming with fabulous details, including a rather familiar looking penguin making a cheeky appearance, (Penguin in Peril).
William Heads to Hollywood is a satisfying mystery, which is fabulous fun.
