Odd Bods is the début picture book from MG writer Steven Butler, together with illustrator Jarvis.

‘Ava is an odd bod’. Turns out Boris is too, and Duncan. Then there’s a whole collection of characters, a different one popping up on each page, together with an announcement of their own delightfully quirky habits / nature.

Iris bends teaspoons, Percy doesn’t speak, Oscar always bites. Kids will giggle as they recognise amusing habits that Butler has identified – those habits that make us all individuals, unique … and special.

Jarvis illustrates each one in vibrant hues and a huge dash of comedy bringing out the special individuality of each child … although there is Zelda. Watch out for Zelda. Very odd indeed!

Odd Bods is an enjoyable picture book with lovely giggles to be enjoyed on each page, thanks to Butler’s observations and Jarvis’s smile inducing illustrations.
