When Catherine Earnshaw’s father brings home a young beggar, she is immediately intrigued by the new addition to her family. Ultimately, her desire for him was no match against the need to gain status within society so against her heart’s desires she marries the quiet, unassuming man who helped her recover instead of true love, Heathcliffe.
