Now, this is a book with a difference. It’s a book that just turns your expectations upside down. Very, very clever.

Is the stark declaration on the opening page. Yep, that’s exactly what this is – The Book With No Pictures from B J Novak. As the story progresses the words have heaps of fun with the reader because,
‘Everything the words say, the reader has to say.
No matter what.’
… and so the fun begins.
Mixed typography and a splash of colourful fonts lead the hapless reader into some hilariously tricky spots. The reader has to work his or way through a serious of lovely crazy words & sounds that are just wonderful. Reading (& singing!) this out loud to a group of kids is just pure joy.
This is a great book for those who are just coming out of picture books.
