Pigeon is not impressed. Why should he go to school? He already knows EVERYthing. So. Really. What’s the point?
Then, in a very child like manner he starts to thinks about what school might be like.
His mind start whirring and he things about ALL the things that could go wrong ALL at once. It’s tiring. And it’s hard. How will he figure it all out?…. numbers, letters, making friends… if only there was a place that could help him. Oh! Hang on… and so Willems brings it neatly round to the fabulous pigeon leaping aboard a bus (of course!), full of excitement at his first day at school.
Brilliantly funny and witty, in The Pigeon Has To Go To School, Willems captures first day of school nerves with this familiar character and his humour.
